POE Dow‑DuPont 8003
POE Dow‑DuPont 8003
POE Dow‑DuPont 8003 is an elastomer featuring good flowability, food‑contact compliance and performance improvement via cross‑linking. It is especially suitable for applications requiring enhanced material toughness, processing flowability and weather resistance.
Main Applications
Polymer Modification: Mainly used for toughening polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE). It significantly improves the impact resistance of base materials and is widely applied in automotive, home appliance and other industries.
Wires and Cables: Applicable for insulation layers and sheaths with high requirements for heat resistance and environmental resistance.
Food Packaging: Compliant with food‑contact regulations, suitable for frozen‑food packaging, beverage bottle caps, packaging films, food trays, etc.
General‑purpose Products: Also used in footwear foaming, thermoplastic elastomers (TPE/TPR) and other industrial articles.

Processing Methods
Blending Modification: For toughening by blending with base resins such as PP and PE, pre‑blending of POE and base resin is recommended to achieve uniform dispersion.
Cross‑linking: Peroxides, silanes or irradiation can be adopted for effective cross‑linking to improve heat‑aging resistance and compression set.
Injection Molding: Its favorable flowability helps improve filler dispersion and enhance weld‑line strength of finished parts.
